Welcome to Acme Acres Paint Horses

Acme Acres is a small Paint breeding farm located in Sunny Phoenix, Arizona. At Acme Acres, we breed for the true all around that will halter in the morning and ride that afternoon. Our farm has a small band of wonderful broodmares that we breed to the two stallions we stand. We also own a natural pet supply company called Pawsitive Foods, that specializes in high quality dog, cat and bird food... and yes we offer livestock and horse feed on a special order basis!

Due to the terrible crash of the horse industry, we did not breed any outside mares, nor mares of our own in 2008 or 2009. We will again be standing Player and Beefcake to approved mares for the 2010 breeding season.

With Player's first foals just now coming riding age, we are EXTREMELY pleased to say that Player's first foal, Hugh Hoofner, owned by Lee & Tina Wombles of Hermiston, Oregon has begun his ground work now that he is FINALLY catching up to himself and being ready to finally be broke. Not to be out done, Player's first little girl Mandy is broke to ride and Cherie reports that she's got an excellent mind, very willing and a wonderful mover, just as we had hoped (and expected) from Player and Kristy!

The center of our farm is our Stallion: Reflections Playboy, a 2003 Dun Overo stallion who stands 16 hands and a solid 1500 pounds with a disposition to beat all, making him the apple of our eye and really the love of our lives. You will NOT find a sweeter stallion. With the unique beautiful color, proven pedigree, kind and willing disposition and correct balanced conformation, Player can compliment any lines your mare carries and if it wasn't for one unknown in his 6th generation, he'd have his AQHA papers as well!

Not to be outdone by Player, the mares we breed from have classic good looks, exceptional dispositions and are consistant producers. They may not all be massive in size, but the quality of the foals they produce, in mind, body and movement more than makes up for it. Please take a moment to view our website. While we no longer are involved with showing, some things never change in what is needed to be a SIRE and not just a stallion, while everyone does seek out their World Champion titles or Superiors or ROMS, correct conformation and a trainable and respectable mind out weighs any show record for us. As we have in the past, all efforts will be made to provide mare owners with Shipped semen when you need it! We look forward to a fantastic 2010 breeding season and again thank those who have made the previous seasons so wonderful for us. We are actively looking for World Class Arabian mare owners who'd like to add some Pizzaz to their 1/2 Arabian and Pinto breeding programs for those wonderful 1/2 Arabian classes offered at the big Scottsdale Show. With elegant movement, size, substance and presence, he's an ideal cross for your good Arabian mares.
